Serenada Mental Health- SEO Case Study Dashboard

A 10-month SEO campaign for Serenada Mental Health, a Georgetown, TX psychiatric practice, grew monthly organic clicks 351% and monthly impressions 3,209% through E-E-A-T content, schema markup, and Local/GBP optimization, while Google Business Profile calls rose 78% and website clicks rose 131%.
Now Serenada Mental Health has extended its psychiatric practice to 2 new locations; Waco & Albuquerque Office.

The Challenge

Serenada Mental Health is a psychiatry and mental-health clinic serving Georgetown & Waco, TX, plus telehealth across Central Texas and New Mexico via its Albuquerque office. As a YMYL (Your Money – Your Life) healthcare site, it needed search visibility that Google would actually trust; which meant fixing E-E-A-T signals and backlink gaps before content and rankings could move.

Work Done

→ Audited the site’s early-stage backlink profile and identified a high-priority gap: a missing hyperlinked website URL on the practice’s ZocDoc profile (Domain Authority 89).
→ Delivered a platform-by-platform Off-page execution guide across 37 healthcare and local directories, organized into priority tiers.
→ Built 5 schema-rich, ARIA-accessible service pages (Anxiety treatment, Depression treatment, PTSD treatment, OCD treatment, Panic attack treatment) with JSON-LD structured data, matched to the site’s existing Squarespace templates.
→ Ran continuous Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization across the 10-month window.
→ Tracked provider-level and condition-level query performance monthly via GSC and GA4.

Process & Strategy

1. Backlink & directory audit
Found the site was under-cited on high-authority healthcare directories (ZocDoc and 36 others), which limits how much Google trusts a YMYL site regardless of on-page quality.
2. Off-Page execution
🟢 Rolled out a tiered, 37-directory citation and backlink plan to build the domain authority a psychiatric practice needs to compete for medical search terms.
🟢 Disavow file uploaded of 124 spammy Referring Domains on https://search.google.com/search-console/disavow-links
3. On-page E-E-A-T build-out
Shipped condition-specific service pages (Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, OCD, Panic attacks Treatment) with schema markup and accessible FAQ content, so both Google and AI Overviews can parse expertise and treatment specifics directly.
4. Local SEO & GBP
Optimized the Google Business Profile listing consistently, which is what drove the calls, direction requests, and website-click growth alongside organic search gains.
5. Monthly measurement discipline
Every month’s GSC/GA4 export was merged into one continuous, gap-free 10-month dataset, so growth curves reflect real trend, not cherry-picked snapshots.

Key Takeaway

For a YMYL healthcare brand, the ranking curve doesn’t move on content alone; it moves when Off-Page trust signals (citations, backlinks, GBP) and On-Page E-E-A-T content are built together. Serenada’s non-branded and provider-name queries only started appearing once both halves of that equation were in place.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS):

For Serenada Mental Health, indexation and early ranking movement began within the first 2 months, but the clearest gains; non-branded queries like “psychiatrist near me” entering the top-clicked terms; showed up in the second half of the 10-month window, once both Off-Page citations and On-Page E-E-A-T content were in place.

A combination of Off-Page trust signals (healthcare directory citations, backlinks from high-authority sites like ZocDoc), On-Page E-E-A-T content (named provider bios, condition-specific service pages with schema), and consistent Google Business Profile optimization; because Google treats healthcare as YMYL content and weighs trust signals more heavily than for other industries.
